In Office Rate is a hybrid work tracking and expense app for iPhone. It helps users track office attendance, work-from-home days, office locations, and related workday information. The app stores and processes much of this information locally on the user's device unless an existing feature explicitly uses another storage mechanism, such as optional Apple iCloud sync.

The free version of In Office Rate displays banner advertisements using Google AdMob / Google Mobile Ads. Users who have purchased the one-time Remove Ads Forever / Pro entitlement do not receive banner advertising. Google, as a third-party advertising provider, may process information necessary to provide, measure, secure, and manage advertising. Google's handling of information is governed by Google's own privacy policy and advertising/privacy documentation.

Information Handled by the App

In Office Rate is designed primarily around personal work tracking and expense management. The app may handle information such as:

Office, Work From Home, and Off day records.
Monthly working-day totals and in-office percentage information.
Saved Office and Home locations for optional automatic work-status detection.
Holiday dates and holiday countdown information.
Expense entries, categories, and summary totals.
App settings and user-selected preferences.
CSV export data generated from the user's records.

Core app data remains stored locally on the device unless a separate, existing feature explicitly uses another storage mechanism. The developer does not receive or store users' work attendance history, location history, or expense data in a developer-operated server solely through the app's core functionality unless that behavior is specifically supported by the implementation.

Information Stored and Processed by the App

In Office Rate allows users to record and manage work-status information and expense records. This information is stored and processed on the device as part of the app's normal operation. It may be used to calculate in-office percentage, review monthly totals, plan holidays, and summarize expense data by date and category.

The app may also store saved Office and Home locations as part of optional automatic work-status detection. Those saved locations are used by the app to assist detection of office presence based on the user's place of work and home location settings.

Location Information

The app may offer optional saved Office and Home locations to help with automatic work-status detection. This is a feature built into the app and is used to assist the app in determining whether a user may be at an office location. The feature is optional and users can choose whether to use it.

Office detection requires at least one hour at a saved Office location. Manual entries take priority when a work status is recorded directly by the user. In other words, if a user enters a status manually, that manual entry is treated as the primary record.

This location feature is separate from advertising. The app's attendance functionality may use location information on the device to assist office detection. The app does not claim that the developer receives or stores users' location history as part of the core app experience. Google AdMob / Google Mobile Ads may process information needed to provide, measure, secure, and manage advertisements under Google's own privacy policies and ad systems; this policy does not state that precise location is sent to AdMob as part of the app's attendance feature unless that is specifically implemented and disclosed.

Advertising

The free version of In Office Rate displays banner advertisements using Google AdMob / Google Mobile Ads. This advertising service is provided by Google as a third-party advertising provider.

Google may process information necessary to deliver, measure, secure, and manage advertising, including information that may be needed to show relevant ads and to support advertising operations. This is separate from the app's local attendance, expense, and work-status features. Google's privacy practices are governed by Google's own privacy policy and advertising/privacy documentation.

Users who want to avoid advertising can purchase the one-time ad-removal entitlement in the app. Paid users who have purchased the existing Remove Ads Forever / Pro purchase do not receive banner advertising. This is a one-time purchase and is not described as a subscription.

Purchases

In Office Rate offers a one-time in-app purchase to remove advertising. Payment transactions are handled through Apple's App Store and StoreKit. The developer does not receive users' full payment-card information. Apple handles the payment transaction and billing process in accordance with Apple's own terms and privacy practices.

iCloud Sync

The app supports optional private iCloud syncing across devices. When this feature is enabled, data may be synchronized through Apple's iCloud infrastructure using the user's Apple account. This means the app may rely on Apple's iCloud services to store and sync data across devices, rather than on developer-operated servers.

iCloud syncing may involve user data such as work-status records, holiday information, expenses, and app settings, depending on what the user has recorded and what is enabled on the device. The developer does not operate the underlying iCloud service, and this policy does not claim that data is stored on developer-operated servers unless that is specifically supported by the implementation.

Tracking / App Tracking Transparency

This app does not claim to track users across other companies' apps or websites. This policy does not state that App Tracking Transparency permission is requested unless the app's implementation expressly does so. The app's core functionality is designed around local work tracking and user-managed records rather than cross-app tracking.

Expense and Work-Status Records

The app may handle work-status data, holiday planning data, and expense records. This can include:

Office, Work From Home, and Off entries for specific dates.
Holiday dates and weekly, monthly, or yearly summaries.
Expense entries by date and category.
Category percentage summaries and export files.

These records are used for personal planning and tracking within the app. The app does not provide tax, financial, or employment advice.

Third-Party Services

In Office Rate may use third-party services when relevant to the app's features. These may include:

Data Retention and Deletion

Data retention depends on how the app is used and whether optional iCloud syncing is enabled. Records may remain on the device and, if sync is enabled, within the user's Apple iCloud account according to their device and Apple account settings. Users can manage app data using the app and their device settings.

If you stop using the app or disable optional sync, the app's stored data will remain subject to the device and Apple account settings in place on that device.

Children's Privacy

This app is intended for personal work tracking and expense planning. It is not designed to collect data about children beyond the records users choose to enter into the app. Parents or guardians seeking to manage a child's device use should review the settings of the device and any Apple account associated with the device.

User Choices

Users can choose whether to use optional location-based office detection features. Users who do not want advertising in the free app may purchase the one-time ad-removal entitlement. Where legally required, advertising/privacy choices may also be presented through Google's consent and privacy messaging in connection with Google Mobile Ads.

Changes to This Privacy Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time to reflect changes in app functionality, advertising arrangements, App Store disclosures, or legal requirements. Any changes will be reflected by updating the date at the top of this page.
